Our Client is a leading financial institution with presence in Europe, US and Asia. Currently, they are looking for a Regulatory Compliance, VP and this person will be responsible for establishing and implementing a robust compliance program to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and internal policies.
Job Description
- Responsible for handling submissions, regulatory enquiries, audits and maintain good working relationship with the regulatory authorities, including coordination for any regulator’s on-site inspection, if required
- Lead and support applications for Fintech-related business licenses in jurisdictions where the organisation conducts its international businesses
- Provide sound advice and recommendations to relevant stakeholders on matters pertaining to regulatory and licensing issues for the licensed payment institutions
- Identify and manage compliance and regulatory risks, act as a point of escalation for any policy and regulatory breaches to senior management
- Responsible for formulating, reviewing, and maintaining compliance framework, policies, and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Conduct periodic internal compliance trainings and compliance risk assessments
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance or equivalent
- At least 7 – 12 years of relevant compliance, regulatory or similar experience
- Strong regulatory/compliance knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of Fintech, payment institutions, payment systems, and similar legal and regulatory requirements in Singapore
- Team player and ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Experience in liaising with Singapore regulators preferred
- Experience with e-commerce, payments or financial services preferred
- Some travelling to be expected
- Knowledge of capital market services licensees regulatory requirements preferred
