Our client is now seeking a Planning Engineer to join their Singapore team. As a Planning Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of projects within our esteemed client’s portfolio. You will be responsible for project planning and scheduling, and you will also contribute to the efficient coordination and timely completion of construction projects.

 

Job Description

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop project plans, schedules, and timelines.
  • Utilize your technical proficiency to create, maintain, and update project schedules using industry-standard software.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress and gather information for accurate updates to project schedules.
  • Communicate project timelines and schedules to relevant teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding.
  • Prepare comprehensive progress reports, highlighting project status, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Continuously review and refine project schedules, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvement.
  • Contribute to project risk assessment and contingency planning to mitigate potential delays.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Planning Engineer within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in project management and scheduling software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Solid understanding of construction methodologies, project phases, and project management principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential schedule challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset to ensure accurate and up-to-date project schedules.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
