These diverse offerings include products and services that help businesses and individuals protect their assets, manage risks and provide for retirement security. They are currently looking for a Cyber Underwriter to join their Singapore office. As a Cyber Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in assessing and underwriting cyber insurance policies for a wide range of clients. You will be leveraging your expertise in cyber risk assessment and underwriting practices, you will contribute to the growth and success of our client’s cyber insurance portfolio.
Job Description
- To underwrite Cyber and Technology Professional Liability aspects of the Profit Center’s business
- Support growth and profitability objectives as outlined by the Profit Centre
- Contribute to planning – Assist in identifying growth opportunities, new business segments, new product opportunities to support growth objectives
- Adhere to all underwriting procedures and compliance protocols as required
- Assist with account targeting strategy and product development initiatives.
- Conducts product training to Agents on a quarterly basis as arranged by the Commercial Lines Agency Team.
- Ad-hoc special projects or requirements that may arise from time to time
- Help to identify business opportunities for other profit centres to support the company’s cross marketing strategy
- Liaise with administration staff, legal, claims, finance and accounting and any other services centre to ensure awareness of underwriting and business activities support standards required
- Assist with multinational development plans so that company gains the maximum share of available profitable income from key/potential producers
- Ensure delivery of reports and compliance tasks in timely fashion to key internal stakeholders as and when required
- Keep Underwriting Manager aware of all major underwriting issues
Requirements
- Degree in Business or related field
- Possess recognized insurance qualification and/or relevant tertiary degree from a recognized institution
- General Insurance Underwriting, risk management or broking background essential
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Financial Lines underwriting and underwriting experience in Cyber Risks is a plus
- Risk assessment including new business reinsurance negotiations and developing renewal retention strategies
- Possess strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Relevant insurance certifications or qualifications are a plus.
