We are representing a leading Commercial Bank with a growing presence in Asia. They are looking for a Credit Risk Manager to join their dynamic Credit Risk Team. As a Credit Risks Manager, this person will play a crucial role in analyzing, evaluating, and mitigating credit risks associated with the bank’s lending activities. His/Her expertise in Credit Risk will be critical in ensuring the bank’s lending portfolio remains well-balanced and profitable while adhering to established risk management policies and regulatory guidelines.

 

Job Description

  • Credit Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough credit risk assessments on new and existing loan applications to determine the level of risk associated with each borrower and transaction. Evaluate the creditworthiness of borrowers, collateral, and repayment capacity.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the bank’s credit portfolio and monitor existing loans for potential risk indicators. Identify trends and potential areas of concern, making recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop effective strategies and measures to mitigate credit risks, maintain a healthy loan portfolio, and minimize potential losses. Implement risk management processes and procedures to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Credit Policy Development: Collaborate with the credit risk team and senior management to develop and enhance credit policies and underwriting guidelines. Ensure that lending practices align with the bank’s risk appetite and strategic objectives.
  • Credit Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed credit risk reports and present findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders. Use analytical tools to assess data and generate insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory changes and updates related to credit risk management. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in credit risk management within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Proven ability to assess credit risk, analyze financial statements, and interpret complex financial data. Strong knowledge of risk assessment models and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with relevant banking regulations, guidelines, and industry standards related to credit risk management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to make sound decisions.
