Our Client
Our client is a well-established commercial bank headquartered in the vibrant heart of New York City. They provide a broad range of business, commercial and personal banking products and services to individuals, small businesses, middle-market enterprises, and public entities. Currently, they are looking for a Vice President (VP) of Financial Regulatory Reporting. This person is responsible for preparing assigned regulatory reports in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with US GAAP and instructions from regulatory authorities, which requires working knowledge of financial accounting and regulatory reporting, as well as understanding of the financial industry and products.
Job Description
- Lead and manage a team responsible for accurate and timely preparation of financial regulatory reports.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Dodd-Frank, BASEL III, and CCAR.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and information for reporting purposes.
- Monitor changes in financial regulations and implement necessary adjustments to reporting processes.
- Reconcile reporting data to GL, validation of static data and perform variance analysis
- Monitor and ensure that changes in the reporting instructions and accounting standards made by the regulatory authorities are incorporated within the reports submitted
- Maintain and update procedure documentations related to new and existing regulatory requirements to ensure firm’s compliance
- Keep track of each assigned tasks and projects, and meet each deadline
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in financial regulatory reporting within the banking industry.
- In-depth understanding of US banking regulations and reporting standards.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
